Daily CareerTIP® Advice
Monday - You are on the planet for a purpose
Real success at work begins with the truth that “All things are created by God and for God," which is the basic theme of the best selling book: “The Purpose Driven Life.” Author Rick Warren proposes that God’s purpose is manifested in our lives in five ways; we are: • Planned for God’s pleasure • Formed for God’s family • Created to become like Christ • Shaped for serving God • Made for a mission

Tuesday - Purpose is powered by action planning
Start with God's purpose for you, then consider the goals and action plans He has prepared for you in all phases of your life - personal, social and family - as well as your finances and your career. “Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time…understand what the will of the Lord is.”

Wednesday - You are God's workmanship
You are a one-of-a-kind creation, made with loving care by the hands of God, not to be compared with any other. A unique blend of life history with natural talents, knowledge, skills, abilities, interests, passions and values - all of which are accented with your own special personality. "For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them."

Thursday - Three ways to discover your gifts, passions and calling
1. Exploration by taking career assessments and asking for feedback from people who know you well. 2. Education to gain more knowledge and increased skills of your natural abilities and interests. 3. Employment using your gifts, passion and calling - even if it is just nights or weekends for friends or for free.

Friday - Focus your career on serving others
Your gifts are for giving, not just getting. As you meet people at work or anywhere, look for opportunity to serve. Do what you do best for people who need it the most..."do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others."

Saturday - You are made for a mission
Before you take off for a day of activities, spend time in "the briefing room" with God, because "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit."

Sunday - Be a good steward of God's manifold grace
On this Sunday, we pray for real success at work, not just for gain in this world, but for the hope of God's calling, the riches of the glory of His inheritance in us saints, and for the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. (Ephesians 1:18-19)
