Daily CareerTIP® Advice

Monday - Careers in the fast lane
The speed of light (186,281.7 miles/second) accelerates past sound (1,128 feet/second) every time. People will see the excellence of your work faster than anything you say. "Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven." Excellence accelerates careers!

Tuesday - Career acceleration is fueled by ...
...unconditional excellence and covenantal relationships. More than just promises made and kept, a covenantal relationship "always doing what is in the best interest of the other, in pursuit of the vision, mission or objectives of the organization." (Unconditional Excellence) Team performance is more important than individual success. “Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind let each of you regard one another as more important than himself..."

Wednesday - Secret to a successful career
"At every level within organizations, those who see, analyze, and solve problems provide the greatest Return on Benefit Investment (ROBI) for their employers. Those employees will be given greater opportunities, be paid better, receive larger benefits, and enjoy significantly more career satisfaction than others" ("Unconditional Excellence" by Alan Ross in 2002) "But I personally have heard about you, that you are able to give interpretations and solve difficult problems. Now if you are able to read the inscription and make its interpretation known to me, you will be clothed with purple and wear a necklace of gold around your neck, and you will have authority as the third ruler in the kingdom." (Said a king to a slave between 605-535 BC)

Thursday - Launch pad for success: Integrity
Integrity is "living an integrated life, balanced between what we say we believe and what we actually do ... when we're asked to make a small compromise ... what begins as something quite small can become a way of life ... honesty that hurts." From the book "Unconditional Excellence") Live a life of unconditional excellence in which the cost of integrity is an investment in your character. May people say of you - "He swears to his own hurt, and does not change." (King David from the Book of Psalms)

Friday - Make conflict resolution...
...a New Year resolution. "As soon as we're aware of discord, we need to pull back and consider the other's perspective." (Unconditional Excellence written 2002) "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God." (One of the Beattitudes - Book of Matthew)

Saturday - What's love got to do with it?
Everything! Career acceleration, unconditional excellence and covenantal relationships are possible because of love. Says President and CEO of a large insurance company, "It's really all about serving people by loving people." (Unconditional Excellence written 2002) "Love is patient, love is kind, and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own..." (From a letter written 55-57AD)

Sunday - Aim high!
"We become unconditionally excellent by being unconditionally excellet. It's both a journey and a goal. It is attainable." (Unconditional Excellence written 2002) "Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, let your mind dwell on these things."
