Daily CareerTIP® Advice
Monday - In the beginning was leadership...
God said, Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule...over all the earth. Rule means to have dominion over, be in charge, have leadership of. From the start, we were created by God to lead in His image - how awesome is that?

Tuesday - Help wanted: immediate opening for shepherd
Flock of people needs caring and leading. They wander like sheep, they are afflicted, because there is no shepherd. Look around your home, work and community. Is God calling you to leadership? If yes, then apply for the job.

Wednesday - Leadership defined...
...in the dictionary at 3 levels: "the position of, the qualities of and the function of." Ultimate leadership failure is having a leadership position, and no one is following. And real leadership is people following, even if you don't have a leadership position. Rate yourself at work, in the community, around home - on a 10-point scale (10 is best, 0 is worst): How closely are people following you?

Thursday - Three required qualities of leadership
1-Character. 2-Competence. 3-Charisma. When Moses was picking leaders, he was told "you shall select out of all the people able men who fear God, men of truth, those who hate dishonest gain; and you shall place these over them, as leaders of thousands, of hundreds, of fifties and of tens." Memorize, meditate on and master these 3 qualities.

Friday - Go out - not knowing where you are going...
...but know Who you are following. By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed by going out to a place which he was to receive for an inheritance; and he went out, not knowing where he was going. But he knew Who he was following! If you are the leader that people are to follow, remember that the only person worth following is someone who is following God.

Saturday - A path is what you discover...
...after you take all the steps. So, you cannot actually see a path before you walk it, especially since each of us are on uniquely individual journeys. "The mind of a man plans his way, but God directs his steps." Rate yourself on how closely are you following God, using a 10-point scale (10 is in His steps, 0 is going your own way).

Sunday - Going somewhere worthwhile?
The hurrier you go, the behinder you get. Some people call it a rat race - maybe it's just the human race. Make sure you are going somewhere worthwhile - especially when people are following you - in your home, at you work, around your community. Take some time this Sunday to slow down and focus on this thought - "I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 3:14)
