	Monday - Attitude - accepting loss and opportunity The first positive step in walking through a crossroads in your career is all about attitude - accepting loss and opportunity. Admit you are where you are. Exercise forgiveness to put the anger behind you and put on love to overcome the fear ahead of you. Seek the breadth and the depth of career opportunities that are over the next horizon.   Career crossing step 1 The first and most important step in career crossings.
	Tuesday - Aptitude - discovering your unique qualities Begin to collect and understand your unique qualities in five categories: Your Background – education and experience. Abilities – skills, talents, knowledge. Interests – things you enjoy doing. Personality – natural traits and tendencies. Values – standards and purpose.   Career crossing step 2 The more you know yourself, the better you will understand the kind of work you are uniquely gifted and impassioned to do.
	Wednesday - Altitude - focusing on the marketplace There are four key facts you need to know to target your job search and career change: occupation (the work you want to do), industry (where you want to do the work), income (how much you want and need to earn) and location (where you want to live and work).   Career crossing step 3 The direction, focus and motivation that you need to successfully explore specific kinds of career, job or business opportunities.
	Thursday - Searching - finding opportunities There are many ways to find opportunities, but 85% of all jobs are found and filled by networking through personal referrals. Looked at another way, your odds of being selected for an opportunity are 42 times greater if you are personally referred through networking. That gives you a 4200% better chance!   Career crossing step 4 How to find the jobs - recruiters, websites, classifieds?
	Friday - Sorting - interviewing and evaluating Think of interviewing as a two-way street. The hiring company will be evaluating you, but you should also be evaluating the hiring company and the specific work opportunity to see if it is a good fit for you.   Career crossing step 5 Be prepared for an interview physically, mentally and spiritually.
	Saturday - Selecting work God has prepared for you Celebrate! Nothing beats walking in work God has prepared. Be sure the career opportunity you choose fits your unique qualities and your values. Also understand that the employer has needs that must be met.   Career crossing step 6 Select a career opportunity based on a win-win approach.
	Sunday - Is God calling you in the midst of a career crossing? Absolutely! Be still and know He is God. Worship, pray and listen for Him. Read, study and obey His Word - such as - "Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men, but as wise, making the most of your time ... do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is." Ephesians 5:15-17   Career crossing - Is God calling? Most people believe that there is a God who created everything and that, maybe, He has some purpose for their lives.
